ABOUT THE PIEROGI RUN FROM GINA MANNION
I'm back for Lucky #7!
On March 19th, I will be gathered with my fellow NDSS athlete ambassadors at the Santa Monica pier in California, embarking on a adventure to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day and support the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS).
My fellow teammates and I will be running 360+ miles, relay style, from Santa Monica, CA to Las Vegas, Nevada. We will run on sidewalks, roads, highways, and trails! We’ll experience wildlife (snakes and wild dogs), desert and mountains, the sun baking during the day and the Milky Way in the darkest night. Aliens and airplane graveyards, drive by beer and tacos on the side of the road. Laughs and tears with some of the best running buddies there are.
I will also be representing NDSS as an athlete ambassador for my 9th year!
